WHAT WE OFFER
“CrossFit has been a major part of my life for over 8 years, so it is no surprise I found CFDN before the doors officially opened and have called it home ever since. What started ‘as a’ get back in shape after having babies became so much more.”
“CrossFit is therapy to me, and I look forward to that daily one-hour session to sweat out the stresses of my busy lifestyle as a mom, wife, and local business owner. CFDN is a place where judgment is left at the door and we all suit up to sweat, grunt, cry, laugh and crush some weight together. The coaches are top notch, and the programming has me guessing what I’m getting myself into. I consistently keep building strength in areas I want & areas I did not know I had. Every class is different and challenging in its own respect and allows me to leave it all out there on that mat. Whether I need stress relief, a support system, or just a toned muscle, CrossFit is the perfect fit for me to work out and network with some bad-ass people. CFDN is family, and I can stay fit all at the same time!! I’d be lost without CFDN and would like to think CFDN would be lost without me. LOL!”
“It’s tough to put into words what CFDN has come to mean to us, not only as individuals, but as a couple and as parents. When Joe first started at CFDN about 4 years ago, I was a little skeptical. We’d belonged to CrossFit gyms in the past and, to be honest, I didn’t LOVE the experience.”
“After his first few sessions, Joe kept saying, “Just go. You’ll love it. I promise. This gym and these people are so welcoming and friendly.” So I decided to give it a shot. My first time back in a gym setting in almost 3 years was for the Murph. I thought I’d feel intimidated but that could not be farther from the truth. From the moment we walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. Here were these ELITE coaches willing to meet me where I was and tailored the workout to something attainable without making me feel ashamed to be at a level less than RX. That sentiment is exactly how I would define being a member at CFDN.
CFDN has given Joe and me the gift of growing in our marriage in ways we never experienced before. It’s allowed us to train together, push each other, and see each other’s physical and mental strengths in a whole new light. I always KNEW Joe was mentally and physically strong, but I never had the opportunity in our college athletics days to witness it with my own eyes. It’s brought us closer and given us new opportunities to challenge each other, cheer for each other, and show our son what you can do when you set your mind to something.
Life certainly has thrown many curves in our time being members at CFDN, but the community we’ve been blessed with there has given us a solid foundation to face those challenges head-on and for that, we are forever grateful.”
“Three years ago, I joined a Saturday morning class at CrossFit Due North (CFDN) as a favor to a friend who was trying to win a contest. I thought of it as a one-time experience to help a friend since I’ve never been much of a joiner and thought I was in decent shape.”
“However, I discovered two things very quickly. First, I was “not” in very good shape. Second, the coaches and members were there to help, with no judgment. Everyone made me feel welcomed and supported so I continued to go to the classes and began to see a major difference in my health and fitness.
Only a few months into my journey, I received earth-shattering news. I was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia. I was told by doctors that my chances of survival were good, but I would be in treatment for the rest of my life. I was devastated. The chemotherapy medication and the condition itself come with a long list of challenges and side effects. I wanted to give up, but once again found support among the coaches and members, so I continued to go to workouts. Along with my loving family and friends, my CFDN family became a lifeline.
Now, looking back to the beginning of my fitness journey, I have become a better version of myself. Despite my disease and treatment, I am stronger, healthier, and faster and I have stronger cardio, more energy, and greater confidence. I am a better husband, father, and friend. I am better able to face the future and CrossFit Due North and the incredible people have helped make this happen.”
